Kranjska Gora is a traditional host of two major winter sports competitions. The event, such as the World Cup finals in ski jumping – Planica and the men’s World Cup in Alpine skiing – Vitranc Cup, are held each year in March.
International sports, cultural and other events… are an integral part of the touristic offer.

December – Advent events – fiery spectacle /meeting of the »parkeljs« of the three countries, visit of St. Nicholas, live cribs in the ice kingdom and the opening of the ski season with fireworks
December/January  – Christmas, New Year’s Eve events – outdoor New Year’s Eve, skiing events
January / February – school winter holidays – skiing days with organized parties, carnival…
March – the main two events – Planica, the finals of the World Cup in ski jumping and the Vitranc Cup, alpine skiing

May – cycling events – the beginning of the summer season with various cycling events such as “Trial Days”, international MTB downhill competitions and weekend-cultural social events.
June – Kekec Days – various workshops for children, performances and organized family parties …
July – Summer Festival under Vitranc – music concerts, entertainment performances and international Film Festival
August – village festivitys – traditional Aljaž’s days and many traditional village festivitys
September – Harley Davidson week – a week of motorcyclists with accompanying program, entertainment and culinary… there is also a traditional 3 Country s picnic at junction of three borders and Bicycle competition – a Marsh to Vršič pass
